New York. What the hell New York. Hancock showed up in the big apple less than two weeks ago and not only did anybody seem to really even notice that he was even there being as nice of a guy as he could manage (which wasn't much) but they also seemed pretty inured to super heroes.

Naturally it was near impossible to find a place to stay on a no income budget. Every once in a while he had been woken up by a cop from sleeping on a bench, so he had resorted to trying to sleep on roofs more often. This morning after managing to buy an small orange juice box from McDonald’s he did manage to stop a collision from happening on the intersection just outside the restaurant. Only did so by putting his hand print on the hood of a car that impacted the engine a bit.

While the driver was yelling at him Hancock sipped the straw to his juice and just stared at him from underneath his beanie. Not even bothering with a response he just vaulted into the sky to go back to the roof he was taking a very temporary residence at. “This is just ridiculous.”

Angie was far to smart not to know what he meant. But that didn't mean he was going to get his way. Lifting up over the edge of the building and then touching down the metal-clad woman took the glittering black metallic wrap that was draped loosely around her head and moved it down onto her shoulders, where it extended and slipped around her body until it was in the shape of a near-ankle length black sun dress. Only then did she allow the rest of her metal second skin to recede back into her body with the rest of the liquid machinery that now acted as her blood, leaving only a small bit on her feet and hands for protection in the form of shoes and a pair of gloves.

"Oh. You're an avatar of the Gods?" She knew she'd misplaced at least one possibility. "I wonder if you know Thor or Hercules..." The woman wondered mostly to herself mostly. Though Oracle could hear her as well via radiotelepathy.

"Don't worry about it. There aren't too many people out there who can" She said with an unassuming smile. "I think it's a fine name by the way. Usually I'm called Iron Maiden or in some cases Engineer. But since I'm mostly in civvies now it's Angie." She watched him pick up his things and wondered where he was planning to go next. Maybe he needed an apartment? In which case she knew of a place but that would have to wait until she could have a conversation with Barbara.

"Uhm. I'm kind of an unusual case. I grew up reading comic books, dreaming of being a super hero, and improving or inventing technology. When I was old enough I built my first powered suit and I never looked back. That's the short version anyway. Oh yeah and last year my meta-mutant gene activated and I gained a mutant power." She shrugged a little after that and placed a hand on her chin, pacing back and forth in thought for a bit before turning on her heel to look at him again. "So what's up with you Hancock? You need a place to stay or something?" She glanced at the empty juice carton "Breakfast maybe?"

"Alright. Come with me then. I'll show you my digs and you can eat something. " The woman smiled unassumingly, her arms folded casually over her chest. Turning her head slightly to the side and speaking to apparently no one she called out "Door. Carrier Bridge". And the glowing rectangle appeared before her again. Sitting ominously on the rooftop. Angie made a slight hand gesture for Hancock after the door materialized.

"After you".

She was curious if he would trust her or make her go first.

Angie couldn't help but laugh at his reaction. Despite the fact that she had just told him she was taking him somewhere he was still uncertain. "We aren't limited to New York. My particular group handles things all over the world and even threats from other planets and realities." She shook her head, still smiling as her body returned to the original teal suit she'd been wearing earlier. "You know I'm the one that called this thing up right? It's a Door. But if you're scared I can always hold your hand and we can walk through together."

With a reaction like that she just couldn't resist teasing him a little. He was supposed to be a hero after all.

Despite a raised eyebrow Angie smiled and let the man take her metallic teal hand. Then she strode through the Door and onto the bridge of the Carrier. Babs was manning the monitors as usual and she gave an absent minded wave as they arrived to acknowledge their presence on the ship. "This is the bridge. But we're not going to stay here long. We have to get down to the quarters. We finally found the cafeteria but it's not up and running yet so you have the pleasure of raiding my fridge today" Angie explained along the way.
