Really he should have known better, but Greed was nothing if not reckless in his actions and now he was going to pay for that. He rarely ever protected his head and from time to time this came back to bite him as well, so it was that he found himself careening off the stage and right into the round table in front, which broke under his weight and momentum.
Still, he managed to pull himself up out of the debris, sitting on his knees so that he could rub the back of his head and mutter almost sheepishly "Okay, I deserved that."
